Independent businesses are putting on events to raise funds to help people affected by the war in Ukraine. Here are 4 events you can attend.

It takes place on Tuesday 25th March from 1pm-2.30pm and proceeds will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

SEO for Ukraine

Search London, Turn Digi and Optimisey have teamed up to host SEO for Ukraine, an online event sharing top SEO advice. You’ll hear from Aleyda Solis, Dana Di Tomaso, Crystal Carter, Luke Carthy, and Sheri Mandour.

It takes place on Tuesday March 29 from 4pm-6pm. The event is raising funds for International Red Cross in Ukraine and tickets are available on Eventbrite.

History For Ukraine

Natalie Pithers from Genealogy Stories is bringing together historians from around the world for a 24-hour live-stream history marathon. Throughout the events you will be able to watch talks and donate to the DEC and Red Cross.

Natalie describes the event as: “A combination of Live Aid and Red Nose Day but for history.”

Speakers lined up include Dr Janina Ramirez, Professor Suzannah Lipscomb, D. Joshua Taylor, Amy Johnson Crow, and Dr Jayne Persian. They come from across the UK and Europe, America and Australia, so all time zones are covered.
